Thanks again for helping provide income opportunities for moms of kids with special needs in Kenya. 99 Balloons just got back from a trip to Africa, and we were able to meet the mothers and see the direct results of this project! 



The moms were SO excited to have new sewing machines. They have already started creating headbands and shawls, as well as some simple bags. One of our team members was able to work with the moms to show them some additional things to make. They were so appreciative and loved learning new designs and sewing skills.





In Kenya, families affected by disability are shunned by their community, so it is very difficult for parents of kids with special needs to find jobs. These mothers have been employed by Dignity Designs and all of the items that the mothers will make - bags, headbands, clothing, etc. - will then be sold and the income will help pay their salary.
