Hi Baby -

Mommy here... I mean adoptive mom. I know you have a mommy. I am missing you today and imagining all that makes you, well you. I hope you are happy today. Deep down I know you are.

Holidays are hard. It is natural to plan holidays. What will we wear? How many Easter  baskets will I lay out at night? Will the Easter bunny come for two babies? Hallie would be (orrr I mean is) 6 months old today. I don’t know her name or really anything about her. All I know is that I have an empty room with her name on it. Clothes I was hoping to dress her in. I have a life ahead of me of wondering where, who, what she is. I love her. 

Braydon was amazing today. He loved finding eggs. He woke up screaming (literally screaming) “It is MORNING! It is MORNING!”

Anyway. Today I miss my girl and I feel empathy for every parent. Every parent who was hoping to hold a baby in their hands today instead of in their hearts. I love you parents.

Braydon asked me why we celebrate Easter. I know there are a lot of different beliefs. What I told him was that Easter is a time for new life, new births, and new beginnings.
