Whew! What a whirlwind last few days. We have safely arrived in Xi’an, China. It is is Friday morning, and today is a much needed day of rest and organization. Bria, Lincoln and I will do some shopping to get some much needed supplies and get the hotel room ready for our first week here with Sunshine. 

We have books, crayons, and some small toys for her to play with, but we have no idea what to expect when we get her back to our room. What does she like to play with, does she enjoy television and movies, will she understand any English, will she understand our attempts at Chinese?  We met our guide Celine last night and she is wonderful. We are so blessed to have her on our journey. She explained our itinerary to us and comforted us that she is very accustomed to the process.

Today we will also be preparing some small gifts for various officials who will be helping us throughout the week as we process Sunshine’s paperwork and apply for her passport.  IF all goes according to plan, everything should be done here in Xi’an by next Friday and we will head down to Guangzhou to process the US paperwork and visa. We will keep you all updated!!!
