LLU School of Nursing Botswana SUMMER 2017

For those of you who know me, you know that I do not like to step out of my comfort zone. I have had the same routine since I can remember. When this opportunity presented itself I was afraid to apply for it. I did not like the fact that I would be away from home for so long in a different country with different types of food, but this is something that I cannot pass up. This is an amazing opportunity and I would be able to help so many people who have very little.

Each summer, students from LLU's School of Nursing travel to Botswana as part of their Public Health Nursing (PHN) course. The PHN course focuses on the optimal wellness of the client community in partnership with local nursing staff serving the community often in Primary Health Centers.

Nursing students who have participated in this international experience have found it life-changing, eye-opening, and an inspiration for themselves and people with whom they have shaped their experience.
