Our mission is to demonstrate the love of Christ by providing compassionate and caring assistance to individuals and families in their time of need.

Love Salina is supported by local churches in Saline County motivated by the Great Commandment to meet our neighbors’ needs: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

Love Salina began as an idea of local pastors and local helping agencies in Salina. It was evident from the number of people asking for financial assistance from local churches, that something must be done by the faith community to take care of our brothers and sisters in need.

Love Salina is an expression of the local Body of Christ that offers help with: Utilities, Rent, Assistance, Prescription Medication, Transportation Assistance

Volunteers trained to assist with: Prayer, Intake, Compassionate Presence, Client follow up calls, and Quarterly contacting local partner churches to update Church Resource List

Case Management will be provided by Ashby House with trained church volunteers to Assess needs, and Plan care for individuals and families, Collaborate with other helping agencies to maximize resources, Maintain a database to track per household support up to $350 per year, Provide quarterly reports to supporting churches
