HI! We are Troy and Amber Lucht and we are excited to share with you the journey God has us on. We have previously adopted twice from Ethiopia - our son Silas who is now 5 and our daughter Saylor who is almost 2. God has called us to adopt again from Ethiopia - this time, a son AND a daughter! Our son is 10 and our daughter is 4.
We currently have a draft of our homestudy being reviewed and once it is approved, the fees will be due soon after. The breakdown of our fees are...
- $2200 - Homestudy Fee (already paid)
- $11,950 - Adoption Agency Fees
- $19,700 - Ethiopia Program Fees
- $1200 - Other Fees
- $10,000 - Estimate for the 2 trips to Ethiopia with our children coming home on the second trip!
- $45,050 - Estimated Total
In coordination with the Pure Charity fundraiser, we are doing a Puzzle Fundraiser as well. For every $15 donated, we will write your name on the back of a puzzle piece (puzzle shown below). This will show our children the village that helped bring them home - the families that were a "piece of the puzzle" in bringing them home.
NOTE: Pure Charity does not let us know the amount of the donation. Because of that, we don't know how many puzzle pieces to put your name on. Can you email us at luchtadoption@yahoo.com to let us know your donation amount and address to mail your puzzle pieces to you? We would really appreciate it! Thank you!
Another really cool thing we’re doing with this is if you donate puzzle pieces to our adoption, we will send you the exact piece(s) of our children’s puzzle that have your name on it (we will need your address to mail you the puzzle piece so please email that to us at luchtadoption@yahoo.com). We had a couple extra puzzles made so that we could send the pieces out to everyone. It will have a magnet on the back so you can hang it on your fridge as a tangible reminder of being a piece of our puzzle. It can also serve as a reminder to pray for our children.Below is a little video we did to describe how adoption has shaped our family, details around this adoption and the ways you can join us. OK, it's not little ... It's actually kinda long (9 minutes) but it's difficult to tell our God story in such a short window. :) We cannot wait until our children are home!
Would you be willing to share our story with your social media circles?
Thank you so much for taking time to learn a little bit more about our family and help our children come home. We are blessed! To God be the GLORY!
