We are excited to announce that we are ADOPTING!! God has truly blessed us in so many ways and we are excited to share this life we have with His little miracle. We are working with Christian Adoption Services and are very excited to begin this process with their guidance. Our home study has now been approved and we will soon be a waiting family. We have learned so much already, and are grateful to have the support of Christian Adoption Services, as well as our family and friends! We can't wait to meet our sweet baby Medlin that God is preparing for us.

  Some Background- We have been trying to conceive on our own since the beginning of our marriage, 7 years ago. We have tried different medications as well as IVF, but no success. Our lives have been hectic at times with all the numerous medical appointments and medical expenses that we have endured physically, emotionally, and financially. Our hearts have been broken throughout this process and we have struggled to understand God’s plan for us.

 Moving Forward-We have talked and prayed, and we both continue to feel such a strong desire to become parents. So through prayer, counseling, and talking with our families, we now feel led to adopt. I’m sure many know that the cost of adoption is scary and overwhelming, but we trust that where God is leading us He will provide. We are looking at a cost of about $35,000 for this adoption. This is the reason that we have started this fundraiser, to help ease the financial burden that overwhelms us. We believe that by inviting you to help us along this journey, that you are forever changing the life of a child, as well as our own lives. In John 14:18 it reads, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you”. I believe that we are the hands and feet of Jesus that are to reach out to the broken and hurting, and the Lord reminds us that “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matt. 25:40). So we ask for your help, whether it can be financially or in prayer. We thank you!

**Update!! We found out we were pregnant at 16 weeks along, and now are the proud parents of a baby boy! God has truly blessed us and we were so surprised. The adoption had to be put on hold per our agency requirements. As we approach our sons 1st birthday, 5/23, we will be allowed to continue the adoption. Our plan is to still adopt, unless the Lord leads us elsewhere.
