Almost There

Reason for this title is because we are "almost there" in so many ways. We are almost finished with our dossier. Which is basically lots of information about our family that we have been working on for months. We are getting closer to finishing our renovations on our home. I am almost to my 40th birthday. And it is almost time for our "Women of Joy" retreat at church.
It was last year at the "Women of Joy" retreat that I felt God tell me that it was time to pursue adopting. I talked it over with Brian when I came home and we began the first step of this long journey. Honestly, I was hoping to be farther along in the process by now but we are trusting God and His timing.
We are hoping to have everything complete in our dossier by June so that we can mail it to the Philippines. Then we will just be waiting to be matched with our children!  We are so excited to be so close to this next step but there are still so many obstacles in our way. The largest one is the cost of this adoption. For us, it is an impossible amount but I know that God's storehouse is much bigger than mine. I ask that you pray for us. For God to lead and guide us in the direction that we should take. That He will provide what is necessary each step of the way. He has already opened so many doors and we have learned so much! I am so thankful and blessed.
So, this year, my birthday prayer is to bring my children home soon. To complete our family that I am dreaming about almost every night when I go to sleep. That God will finish this good work that He has begun in our family. That He will continue to prepare each of our hearts for our growing family. Pray for Adeline and Isabella and the new roles they will take on. We also ask that you pray about being a part of our journey of changing an orphan into a son or daughter with your financial gift.
