The only thing standing between a million pair of shoes and the people that need them is YOU.

Samaritan's Feet (www.samaritansfeet.org) was able to distribute 1 million pairs of shoes in 2013 through a partnership with Skechers and their BOBS (buy one-donate one) shoe program. Skechers has agreed to donate another four million pairs of shoes over the next three years!!  We've got the shoes, but we need your help processing and shipping them to people in need around the world. 

             

Shoes aren't just a fashion accessory for most people in the world-they are a tool to prevent disease, a necessity for school entry and an encouragement that inspires a new foundation of hope  This morning an estimated 300 million people across the globe woke up without a pair of shoes. People around the world are dying without shoes because of foot borne diseases and soil-transmitted parasites that could be avoided with something as simple as footwear.  For the last 10 years we’ve been committed to providing that simple necessity, a pair of new shoes to those that need them. 

As important as the health benefits of the shoes is the spiritual benefit each recipient will receive as volunteers will wash their feet and share a message of hope.  This simple (yet intimate) act of humility and servant leadership has the power to change the trajectory of a child's life (both here on earth and for eternity).  Following the example given to us by Jesus with His disciples also has a powerful impact on the volunteer servant.

                                               

The Container Of Hope Campaign

The Container Of Hope campaign is a three-year-long initiative that will distribute these four million pairs of shoes.  Samaritan's Feet is partnering with individuals, corporations, foundations and faith-based organizations to raise the necessary funding to ship these containers of hope. 

"Shoes For A Country" is $52k and will cover the cost of shipping 26,000 pairs of shoes.

 "Shoes For A Region" is $26k and will cover the cost of shipping 13,000 pairs of shoes. 

"Shoes For A Village" is $13k and will cover the cost of shipping 6,500 pairs of shoes.
