Hello family and friends, Ethan and I are so excited to start this journey and to see where God is going to lead us! First, let me begin by saying that this journey is more than just our fundraising and asking for money. It is much more than that. It is the journey of us becoming non-biological parents for the first time....and we could not be more excited about it! If you read our story you know that Val is not able to have children therefore after lots of discussions and a year of praying we have decided to answer God's call to give an orphan a home. Adoption is our best option for becoming parents, the journey to parenthood will not include pregnancy, ultrasounds, or baby showers. But it will include tightening our budget, eliminating all unnecessary expenses, lots of hard work, and time to fundraise. Most importantly it will require lots of patients for God's timing, and it means us giving up complete control and trusting in God 100%. In pregnancy, the parents get to choose their birth plan, doctors, and trust God to keep their baby healthy. Well, Ethan and I start this journey giving God complete control of everything. We don't get to choose where the money comes from, or when it comes, or where our baby comes from. We get to choose to answer God's call.  ITs time for us to get down on our knees and pray and watch God turn our pennies into $35,000. As we stand in front of what looks like a mountain we know our God will move it so. We start by asking you to follow our blog and get down on your knees and pray alongside us. Be our prayer warriors for:

1. Wisdom as we make decisions and plans for our family.
2. For the finances to be provided in God's timing and in his way. 

Secondly, we specifically ask that you pray about if and how God is calling you to be involved in this journey with us. Yes, we need money but we also need partners to help us plan events, people to encourage us, to respect our decisions, and to walk this journey with us. Ethan and I are not pressuring and never will pressure anyone to give money, maybe you can give your time to help organize an event, and if all you can commit to doing is praying then that's great!. Whether you give a lot or just a little we appreciate you all and cant wait to see what God is going to do through this amazing and terrifying journey.
