Ethan and I are overwhelmed with God's grace and provision! We are 5 months into this journey and have raised almost 12000 total!

Yesterday ( Saturday ) we had our chili cook-off and had a great turnout. We had about 80 individuals come and raised $3, 451 at the event. With donations here to our blog our coffee fundraiser, selling items on facebook marketplace, and pop cans we have raised close to $12,000 total. We are just in awe of Gids provision for our journey and incredibly blessed to have a large village behind us and supporting us. OUr dreams would not be coming true if it weren't for all you supporting us, loving us, and encouraging us. With that, we say thank you to our Lord and Savior and thank you to all our friends and family.  

Not only did we did have a successful fundraiser yesterday but last week we also had a successful meeting with our caseworker last week! Our case study is scheduled to be done by March 8th and we have completed most of the paperwork. we are waiting for a few more background checks to arrive in the mail and we have to complete a few more training before it will be complete. We have been incredibly blessed through the home study process. Other than a lot of paperwork and busy work it has been relatively unstressful. God has blessed us with a great caseworker who has made this journey painless...so far. We know more hard stuff is going to come as we may have to wait to be matched with a birth family for several years. But we are looking forward to the home study being done, creating our online profile, and becoming a waiting family!

PS..we are celebrating in the Niemeyer house tonight because STAFFORD AND THE RAMS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL....what a way to end our weekend! ( at least for ethan ).
