Hello family and friends,

We just wanted to send a quick update out about our home study and a few ways that you can be praying and supporting us in the upcoming months.  

In exactly 1 month from today, our home study is scheduled to be complete by our agency and we will become a waiting family....Yay! Last week we turned in the last ( finally for now the paperwork is done) of our home study paperwork. We have individual interviews scheduled with our caseworker on the 21st of February and then God willing we will be done with our home study. The next steps for us will be creating our profile for expecting families to view. This will be done by creating an online profile on our agency's website. We will also create a photo book for birth families to view that will be held at our agency. And then we get down on our knees in prayer and wait. We will be attending adoption parenting school/ classes this spring and attend a monthly support group put on by our agency during this waiting time. 

We are so excited that our home study is almost complete and are thankful it has gone so smoothly. We ask for prayers as we finish up the last steps in our home study and pray that everything will be finalized in Gods timing and in his way. 

We also have a few small fundraisers going on that we want to share with you all.

1. Lasanga meal: If you or someone you knows loves homemade lasagna and potatoes rolls please sign up for our lasagna meal fundraiser. They are hand made from our dear friends and 100% of the profits go towards our adoption. 
Two pan sizes available:
8x8 (serves 3-5 people) with potatoes rolls- $25
9x13 (serves 6-8 people) with potatoes rolls- $35
Meals come with directions for cooking and will be available for pick up on Sunday March 13 at several locations. 

2. Quilt squares: We are selling quilt squares at $15 a piece for you to personalize with a bible verse or word of encouragement and your name. These will then be sewn into a quilt for our child. It would means so much to us to have a  quilt square from everyone who is apart of our village and who has made it possible for us to find our forever family. This quilt will be a  reminder to our child for years to come of how much they are loved and cherished, which is extremely important for a adoptee. 
We have several square colors available and can send pictures for you to choose from and then mail the squares to you with a return envelope. You also can pick up/ drop off at our house or Vals parents house. 

Both the Lasanga and Quilt Square fundraiser can be paid via venmo, google pay or cash.

3. We are collecting items for garage saling and online sales. If you are doing a winter purge of items or plan on doing some spring cleaning please consider donating items to our garage sale pile. We are storing items in vals parents basement and have a  hug collection so far. We plan to have garage sales all spring and summer long..or until everything sells. High end and large items we are selling on facebook market place and all other items will be sorted for garage sale. If you live in the greater Holland area and need us to pick items up please let us know.  We cannot store furniture but are willing to sell it online if you can store it for us till it sells.
