WHO WE ARE
Save the Children is the world's leading independent organization for
children. Our vision is a world in which every child attains the right
to survival, protection, development and participation. Our mission is
to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to
achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.
WHAT WE DO
When disaster strikes around the world, Save the Children is there to
save lives with food, medical care and education and remains to help
communities rebuild through long-term recovery programs. As quickly and
as effectively as Save the Children responds to tsunamis and civil
conflict, it works to resolve the ongoing struggles children face every
day — poverty, hunger, illiteracy and disease — and replaces them with
hope for the future.
WHERE WE WORK
From the African Savannah to the Mississippi Delta, Save the Children
has touched the lives of 100 million girls and boys around the world.
Combined with other Save the Children member organizations worldwide, we
reach children in 120 countries, serving and providing support for
education, health, protection, disaster relief and so much more.
