Hi all!
It’s been a while since we gave an adoption update, so we wanted to share what has been going on. To be honest there hasn’t been a good time or way to give an update. The past 10 months have had many giant hills filled with joy and some of the deepest valleys we’ve ever had to walk through.
There have been times that we doubted if God is still working. There have been lots of times that we have not been patient. There have been times that we have thought about stopping the adoption all together. However, through these highs and lows, we still feel like God is preparing our baby through adoption. Through the doubting and pain, we are daily reminded of how deeply God loves and cares for us because of how perfect Joanna is for our family.
We do know that His perfect plan is better than we could ever imagine. Even though we can’t understand it all right now.
We ask that you keep us in your prayers. Keep praying for the baby that God has chosen for us and for his or her mother. May she feel God’s love and peace as she makes her adoption plan.
We pray that God will prepare our hearts and finances for the adoption so we can welcome the baby with open arms.
We are also asking for help with finances. We are currently about 25% funded, but adoption is expensive (around $30,000). We’ve done fundraisers, sold a ton of our stuff, and have trimmed our budget a ton to allow for more savings towards adoption (and also no life. Ha).
If you would like to donate on our tax deductible site, you can do so on

I will also be posting some more stuff for sale on my Facebook page before I list it on Craigslist/marketplace if you are interested in any of it.
We love you all!

We have BIG news!
Our family is growing through adoption again!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. As you may remember from Joanna's adoption, there are many adoption related costs that often add up to $40,000 or more. We were so blessed by the generosity of friends, family, and strangers in Joanna's adoption; we can't wait to see God work in our second adoption.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
