Hi! I hope you’re well.

I have some exciting news… this July I get to be a part of a small team of people to go on a serve trip to Uganda! For a few years now, I’ve desired to take part in a missions trip because I know that having to raise a large sum of money will definitely be a challenge to test my faith in God’s ability to provide, and it will be a great opportunity for me to love other people from different backgrounds and cultures.

We are heading out from Portland on July 6th, we’ll be flying into Kampala and during the next week our team will get to serve and love the kids of Bethany Village though putting on a vacation bible school and by being willing to help them in whatever ways that they may need.

Here is a description of the mission:

“Bethany Village is rural company outside of Kampala, Uganda on the banks Lake Victoria. It’s a community made up of a primary school, a large farm, and seven orphanage homes caring for over 130 children. Their vision is to teach people and communities to become self-sustaining within a nation where jobs can be scarce. Bethany Village is a part of African Renewal Ministries, a long-time partner of the A Jesus Church family network and Hear the Cry (the non-profit trip planning organization of these churches)."

How can you help?

Well, first of all, we need prayer for our team… safe travel, health, and that our time will be well spent in encouraging the children spend time with.

Secondly, if you’d like to help support me financially I’d be extremely grateful – the total trip cost is $3,950. I’ll also be working for as much as I am able, garage sales, window washing, car washing, etc. All donations are tax-deductible and only take a moment to do online.
