When God does your fundraising....

This "update" to Phase 3 is more of a praise that leaves me in awe. As of about a month ago we had some pretty good momentum going into the Outreach House fundraiser. My plans were to really get the word out and make finishing funding the Outreach House by the end of the year a goal to shoot for. I believed we could make it, but I didn't know where the money was coming from.

Then a team from Young Living Oil came to Jinja. They joined us for a foot-washing/jigger removal clinic at the old Outreach House on the day when Joseph (Yusef) first received treatment. Joseph came to be known not only for his smile and singing that came from his total transformation once he was jigger free, but also as our "worst case ever." Joseph had over 2500 jiggers throughout his entire body.

The Young Living team assisted at the clinic and headed back to America. 

I get a call on August 2nd from Nikki Davis the Director of Global Philanthropy for the Young Living Foundation. Their big conference with 20,000 in attendance was about to begin and she was calling to tell me that she was going to tell Josephs story from stage and they were going to try to raise the money needed to pay for the Outreach House and possibly the clinic.

I was overjoyed with the news, but not sure what to think about the actual outcome of something like this.

Well the über generous folks that represent Young Living Oils ended up raising ONE MILLION dollars during the course of the conference. This money is going to the foundations several partners doing amazing things all over the world and Sole Hope is part of that!

They have pledged to fund the Outreach House and when complete they will be working on gathering the funds for the Health Clinic. 


Isn't it funny how when you take big leaps of faith... when you know the next step is the one you should take, but don't know how you will get it done... when you trust... He provides. 

We are far from done with "The Next Step" and completing all of the projects on the land, but from this amazing bit of "Serendipity" we should be breaking ground on the Outreach House soon and moving way ahead of anticipated schedule for the rest.

We need to build a permanent block security wall around the perimeter of the entire 8 acre property that is on it's way to becoming Sole Hope's new base of operation.
