Sweet Gloria. 
Gloria is 6 years old and attends Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped. She does not yet have intelligible words but has lots to say! I see her for therapy every Friday and In this session we strung beads as we worked on verbalizing "mmm" for "more" and "haa" for "help" while signing each word. After our first session introducing signs, Gloria was so excited to show and communicate to her teacher what she had learned! Each classroom now has a poster with basic signs that the teachers can begin using with their students who do not yet have an effective communication system.
