Tomorrow is my last day here at Word Made Flesh Galati. I can’t begin to describe how fast the time has flown by. Six weeks ago today I was on a plane, having no idea what I was about to encounter.
What I encountered, was incredible. People who love God, who love this city, who are working day in and out with the people in this neighborhood. I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to serve amongst them, learn from them, and enjoy life with them. I’m so thankful for the kids who I get to play basketball with, push on the swings, practice my beginner Romanian with, and who showed me God in them everyday. I’m thankful for the families that let me interview them who trusted me and WMF enough to answer questions for a community development project. I’m thankful for the people who translated for me so that it was even possible, the people who let me stay in their home, for the people that answered all the questions I had and continue to ask. And, I’m thankful that God works in places and people before I was here, while I was here and now when it is time to leave.
Thank you for your prayers and support during my time here, but may I ask one more thing? Please continue to pray for this community. God is doing great things and through your prayers you can continue to be a part of the amazing ministry going on here. For more information about the work check out:
