Last year we saved the lives of over 250 Siberian Huskies & Alaskan
Malamutes that were in immediate danger of being killed in area
shelters. We don't have a facility; all our dogs live in volunteer
foster homes getting love, care and training until they can be adopted.
We would love to save more, but we need your help. If you can't
foster, please volunteer. If you can't volunteer, please donate.
We believe that we can't make a difference in the 'humane' business
without first making a difference to humans. We believe that education
if the key. Education about responsible pet ownership, education about
training and education about the breed are critical to reducing the
number of companion animals that are killed in shelters. Volunteers
from Taysia Blue can be found throughout the community helping share
these messages.
We provide resources to our adoptive families
after the adoption to make sure they are getting the information and
training they need to establish a successful bond. At a local level, we
organize walks and private play dates for the people and dogs to get
together.
Anyone interested in learning more about the
Siberian Husky or Alaskan Malamute can visit with and meet our available
dogs and our informed volunteers at any of our public meet & greets
throughout the local communities that we serve, not just in Omaha, but
Lincoln, Kansas City, Des Moines, and NW Arkansas! For information, check out our
calendar on our website.
