Hi Team--

Hard to believe we have been in this long enough to be needing to update our Home Study, but it's true.  We had a social worker out to the house last week to check out the new address and talk about John's job change.  She is great and everything went smoothly.  She will now write an addendum to go on our current Home Study.  We then have to send this in to USCIS (United States Center for Immigration Services) and get it approved by them.  We are really hoping we get a referral in the next month or two and will need an updated Home Study and updated Immigration form when we travel.  It is our understanding that we need all this paperwork to file at the US Embassy in Haiti when we are down there for our bonding visit after our referral.

Things have been quiet for a long time and now it feels as if there is a bit of a bustle.  Most likely more "hurry up and wait" type scenario. We still have a dream that we will have these kids home by Christmas-- which would be 27 months after we sent our application to our agency.  Whoever said International Adoption can be a long process is right...good thing we were mentally prepared for this.
