I recall other friends mentioning the paperwork train. And we are definitely in that mode.

I’ll admit that I’m kinda and love doing paperwork. I probably would have made a great office manager in another life. My type A personality finds some odd sense of joy and accomplishment in completing such tasks.

That being said, we have about 90% of our paperwork in  the works. A good chunk of that has been sent into the agency for our home-study. All the while I have paperwork compiled for the dossier (please Lord, don’t let me lose it or allow a kid to color on it).

We had a garage sale this weekend to raise funds. We’ve also been posting things on offer up, which has helped boost our sales. We’ve made a tiny 500.00 dent in the almost 5000.00 in fees we’ve already paid to the adoption agency. I’m also contemplating making my homemade jam, breads, and pizza dough to raise funds. While the financial side can be overwhelming, we know that God’s definitely got this. (If He calls you to it, He will walk you through it, to use an old saying).

In addition to a
the paperwork and fundraising,  we’re doing training on adopting older children, sexual abuse, China, international adoption, and trauma. We’re also taking the kids through what things might look like as we bring another (older child) into the home. It’s a lot, but we’re keeping on and we truly appreciate both your prayers and support on this journey.
