UPDATE 09/07/19

So our last interview went great on Wednesday! Thank you for your prayers. WE ARE OFFICIALLY A WAITING FAMILY! That means we could, theoretically, get “the call” at any moment! This whole process has been long and for most of it the idea of bringing a little one home with us has been just that, an idea. Now, it’s a real, imminent possibility. To say we are nervous is an understatement...it just got real y’all, haha. Please continue to pray for us as we wait. Pray for our child’s birth family, wherever they may be right now. Pray that they are being supported in their adoption plan. Pray for a healthy pregnancy and a safe delivery. And again, above all, pray they would be introduced to the love of Jesus throughout this entire process.

We are so very close to our fundraising goal. Now that we are a “waiting family,” the remaining funds could be needed at any time. It would be such a blessing if you would consider helping us reach the end of our goal. We are only 28% away from our goal! Again, “THANK YOU” to all of you who have given already. We were very nervous about asking for financial help but the support we have received has been such a blessing from God to us throughout this process and we are glad we stepped outside of our comfort zone.

We will continue to update you as things progress. To those who have offered to host showers, thank you! Once we have a better sense of how best to go about doing that in this situation, we will reach out to you. We love you all very much.
