Dear Project Peanut Butter Friends and Supporters,
Thank you again to each and every one of you who backed or followed our last project, "Treatment of Child Malnutrition in Somalia." In the Fall of 2013, Project Peanut Butter employee Margo Stoner traveled to Nairobi, Kenya, and met with representatives from the Dr. Hawa Abdi Foundation (DHAF). She taught the DHAF team how to produce ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) on a small-scale. The training was a
resounding success, and now RUTF will be available to hundreds of malnourished children in the DHAF camp on a consistent basis, even as Somalia is involved in political conflict.
My name is Margaret, and I joined the PPB team in August 2013 and visited Malawi last September/ October. I want to tell you about a new PPB fundraiser you can support on Pure Charity:
"Feed Malnourished Children in Chikwawa, Malawi." When I was in Malawi, I had the chance to visit some of the PPB feeding clinics, where we assess kids for malnutrition and distribute life-saving RUTF. I was visiting clinics in the Chikwawa District--among the nation's hardest hit districts in terms of food insecurity and malnutrition. It was in this setting that I came up with the idea for our latest Pure Charity fundraiser. I interviewed mothers at the largest clinic, Mitondo, and carefully recorded their stories. Won't you read these stories today and help us fund all of the operations of the Mitondo clinic during the 2013-2014 hungry season?

Thank you so much for your continued support!
