Buenos días mis amigos!

    I have something exciting to tell you! My dad and I will be going to Peru this summer with Help One Now! Help One Now is the organization that my dad works for. They help kids and families in need all over the world.

    This trip is very important to me because we will be doing things to help the community. We will be spending time with my dad’s friends, Mercedes and Willie Malpartida. They are a really nice and helpful family from Peru. Some of the biggest ways they help people are through their church and a school that they run. The school is called Colegio Kairos, and they help over 500 kids get a good education every year. And some of the kids who our family sponsors go to school there! They are also opening safe homes for kids who have been hurt and abused.

    We will get to meet some of the families who Help One Now and the Malpartidas are helping, and hopefully I will get to play some fútbol with the kids at school!

    Peru is one of my places to go because of all the amazing people and wildlife everywhere. I will have lots of chances to learn new things about nature, history, culture, and ways to help people. I got to go to Peru last summer, and one of my favorite things that we did was fishing for piranha! We also got to visit and dance with the Yagua tribe. I loved all the interesting food and fresh juices that they had. I liked learning about the creative ways that people earn money in the markets on the street, and seeing how kids go to school in a different country. They loved their school so much and they were so happy to get the chance to go to school.

    On this trip, I am going to get to do something that we didn’t do last time and I just can’t wait! We are going to hike to Machu Picchu! It is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It was built by the Incas over 600 years ago, and if you think that is a lot, you should know that it is 8,000 ft. above sea level!

    This is definitely the biggest trip I have ever done. I will have a chance to experience amazing things that I will remember for the rest of my life. If it’s ok, I would love to ask you to pray for me and my dad on this trip. Please pray that God will keep us safe, and that I will learn as much as I can about serving God and helping people. Also, I am doing extra chores and also raising money to pay for half of my trip, and my parents will pay the other half. I need to raise $1,000! If you would like to help me reach this goal of $1,000 that would be awesome! And maybe I could take some pictures or make a video for you while I’m on my trip.
