Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

It is with much excitement and a little bit of disbelief that I am writing this letter to you! Through God’s intervention and a new found friendship, I have been offered an amazing opportunity to join the efforts of a local non-profit organization called 99balloons. 99balloons is an organization that began in Fayetteville, Arkansas and exists to help others engage children with special needs locally and around the world. In January of 2016, the volunteers of 99balloons will be returning to an orphanage in Ekisa, Uganda that cares for children with special needs. This trip will be solely focused on Ekisa and the community in Uganda. The trip is from January 8th thru January 18th. This is my first global mission outreach and I couldn't be more excited!

God has recently brought a new friend into my life, and I for one believe God does not do things on accident! This new friend, Andrea, and her husband will be leading a team of volunteers in January as they return to Ekisa for the second time. The team travelling to Ekisa will provide physical therapists, a special “day camp” for the community children, a nurse, photographers, and many others who are still volunteering. What will I be doing, specifically, you ask? Years ago, I had a vision from God that I would one day travel to Uganda and provide dental care for those in need. In January of 2016, God is bringing my vision to life. I will be working in the day camp and assisting with 60 families and their special needs, as well as have the opportunity to spend an afternoon assisting with the local dental staff.  He has found me where I am and chosen ME to take this incredible journey with Him. I can’t even imagine the blessings He will give to these children through me, and the blessings that He will pour into me and my heart as well. I could not be more excited and honored to have been handpicked by Our Maker for this incredible experience.

 • Preparation for the trip---that everything  (supplies, plans, luggage, tickets, shots, etc) go smoothly

 • Safety for travel and time in Uganda

 • Family that is staying in the States

 • Wisdom and hearing the Lord speak while there

 • Financial provision for the whole team

 • Health for the team and for all the children and staff at Ekisa
