UPDATE: 06/04/14 I can't believe I haven't updated this page or my blog with our big news so here goes: We are so excited to be welcoming a 3 year old precious little girl! She is cute and sassy. She is very healthy but she is completely blind. She has been blind since birth and she seems to get along just fine! We are using this in-between time while we are waiting on a court date to learn about raising a blind child and seeing what resources are available in our area. God has been affirming this decision every day. Each day we get little gifts that make our situation seem less and less daunting. Whether it is through finding out about a great place she can visit or a great toy she will love or meeting other families with blind children who are a wealth of knowledge, great things are happening and we are so ready for her to be HOME FOREVER!
Hi Everyone! We are the Wallaces! and we are adopting from Ethiopia! We need your help! Pretty please?
Thanks for stopping by! We have been in the adoption process for over two years. We are so ready to see our son's face, seriously, that is going to be a good day. We hope that day is soon but we have to be financially ready. We are hoping to be fully funded for our adoption before we get "that phone call."
We have done a lot of fundraising and have had some pretty good successes but we still have a long way to go. Currently our funds will go to adoption fees and travel cost. In Ethiopia, parents are required to make two trips! That adds up to an insane amount of cash. I wish we had it hidden in a mattress but sadly, there are no such mattresses at Case de Wallace.
Thanks for taking your time to read this and we would love it if you would pass it on to someone else! God Bless You! Visit our blog anytime!
