Our adoption just got updated to Paperwork Complete Posted about ago

Woot Woot!

We received a call today and went over everything we were told to update on our home visit last month (lock doors, thermometers in the refrigerator/freezer,  fix some stuff on the walls, etc).... ALL HAS BEEN DONE. :)

And we're so happy to let you know that we have - FINALLY - finished providing all documents requested.

By the end of this month we should be able to know if our house and family is in conditions to foster (which I have NO doubt) and once from there we should be able to receive calls when *little one* with no parental rights it's available to foster.

Some may ask why we're fostering a child with no parental rights first instead of full adoption....I wondered the same. But after some thinking we decided to go on that road.

The foundation requires at least 6 months of fostering before starting any adoption paperwork.
We are aware of the possible trauma little one might bring to our home and we are more than willing to work them out together. Unfortunately, we don't know how she will respond or react during that time thus having that 6 month period will help her decide if she will be ok here and if she fits here.

Now...why a child with NO parental rights.
With everything that our daughter and my family went through two years ago, I'm not willing to have someone here...offer all my love and let my daughter get close to her.... so out of nowhere, a judge can come an say mom/dad is now fit and will take her away from us. NO. Just no. My family will not go through another separation process and we will not be the cause of another possible trauma to little one.
