So much has happened since the last update and today. We are sad to let you guys know that the agency that was working our paperwork after 6 months of working hand in hand has decided to close their office in Austin without finalizing our Foster Certification.
With that being said, we had no other choice that to look for another adoption agency to work with us from the beginning all the process, again.
Luckily, most of the things we previously did, still works. (Background checks, TB Test, Health/Fire Inspection, State Certificates, CPR - 1st Aid)
We still need to do orientation and some classes specific to the new adoption agency. Not to mention, they need to come and do the home study.
Yes....we were mad and frustrated....after SIX months we felt that our time was wasted, we felt defeated. Those feelings only lasted like two days because deep down, we KNEW there's someone out there waiting for us, and not only that, Anya is also counting on us, what are we teaching her as parents if we choose to walk away from what we want when we feel defeated?
So, yes... here we are.... We got a new agency by the end of the same week. All documents were passed from the previous agency to the new one. Everything is moving already and we will have an orientation meeting on Thursday with the new agency.
