Here’s a poem I wrote before going to Ethiopia last year - thought I’d share! Gives a little insight to the joys of what we have in store for us there!

Ethiopia 🇪🇹 2018

I’m gone to Ethiopia

Don’t mind me

I’ll be telling all the people

About the Lord, J.C.

We’ll be going hut to hut

And playing frisbee

And if we’re really lucky

They will make us coffee

But the most exciting part

Is when they finally see

That there’s a God above who loves them

Not just judging quietly

He loves us so much

That He sent His only son

To die on the cross, take our spot

Pay for the sins that we have done

There’s nothing we did to earn this

It’s purely the grace of God

All we must do is accept the free gift of Jesus

His only, perfect son

He defeated sin, death and the grave

Proving that He alone is mighty to save

Without Him we’d be stuck in our sin

Eternally separated from God, that’s no way to live

I’m so thankful for this truth

It’s changed the way I live

From things like booze and boys

To fully trusting Him

Now I’m going on a mission trip

Because I can’t keep it in

I can’t wait to be in Ethiopia

And do nothing but praise Him!
