Hey everyone! As we continue planning for our trip to Belize, I get more and more excited to work with the people there that are making a huge impact for Christ. One of those individuals is Pedro Nolo. Dan met Pedro the first day we were there for our vision trip. Pedro has an amazing story. He has worked in some different, yet important areas. He has been involved with imports and exports, worked for the U.N, and now works in a high position for one of the primary banks in Belize....and oh yeah, this guy is sold out for Jesus.
God has used him and his wife to start many sustainable projects with the people there. One of those projects is a sewing ministry. They teach women how to sew to earn income for their households. They help them get the tools they need and material to make it successful. They also get to disciple each of the women that start their own business. They have helped start 35 small sewing businesses and it's growing. He is also working on figuring out how groups like ours can use our resources to begin more agricultural small businesses with the local that have skills in farming so they too can earn money for their family and we get the chance to share Christ and disciple them in the process. It's a great way to empower people while passing on discipleship skills.
Please pray that God will keep providing for Pedro and his wife as they give everything they have to making this successful. If you would like to give to our mission trip, we need senders to help get us there and share the gospel, work with locals to empower them, and create a lasting movement that will produce fruit of its own. Please click on the link to out trip and you can give from there. Thanks, Brent.
