BIG NEWS! Our students from the Rio Grande Valley along with those from San Antonio will be taking the love of Jesus to Belmopan, Belize this summer! 15 of us will be going there to help start a sustainable project with some of the locals, help build a much needed home for a family in the area, and work with a church that serves 70 children daily in a small village in Belize City. Belize is a beautiful country with beautiful people. However, there remains systemic problems in Belize of Single Parent homes, sexual impurity and deviancy, poor education availability, and financial hardship. 85% of the homes in Belize are single parent homes, mostly with just the mother as the head of the household. In most cases, the boys quit school around the age of 14 so they can work to help provide for these households. They quickly get into alcohol abuse and then follow that up with sleeping around. It is a cycle that can be changed for the better. Our group will be working with some key people that are already involved in bringing about lasting changes to the people in Belize. By standing side by side with locals, we can help provide sustainable jobs, bring spiritual revival, and break the cycle of broken homes. To do that, we must have the help and support of others that have a heart for reaching the lost and making a lasting impact, not just a short term one. We need to raise about $26,000 in total for all of our students and staff to get there, have resource money for the work projects we will be doing, engaging other local young men and women to come along side and do the work with us and travel to and from Belize. Will you partner with us and be senders of the Gospel? Can you give $100, $200, or some other amount? Thank you so much for your prayers and financial partnership to see this first project through. With God behind it, it will be the first of many investments into changing an entire culture. Till the whole World hears, Brent McBain
