Buy a goat for a family in need - and improve a child's potential in life. Childhood malnutrition is a serious and widespread problem in developing countries, but you can help fight it.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

If young children don't get the nutrition they need, they lose what all kids deserve - the chance to reach their full potential. Chronic malnutrition puts children at far greater risk of dying from common childhood disease. It also permanently stunts their physical and intellectual growth. The problem contributes to a cycle of poverty that traps families for generations - but it can be broken.

How will this project solve this problem?

Goat milk allows poor families to give their children animal protein otherwise out of reach. Goat manure fertilizes gardens providing other essential nutrients. Plants grown to feed the goat reduce soil erosion and help improve small farm production.

Potential Long Term Impact

Children grow up bigger, smarter, and healthier; families earn extra income; and after reproducing, a goat is passed on to neighbors. One goat can change a child's life and a community's potential.
