Zambia: One moment that was so powerful to me was on the last day of clinic. I was at the spiritual counseling station, there to talk with the patients, ask about their faith, and pray with them. A woman and her daughter came to my station. The mother, Judith, could not see anything out of her left eye and her feet were swollen so badly she could hardly walk. After my translator and I prayed with this woman, she jumped up and started dancing around on her feet! She put a hand over her good eye and told us that she could see the man in the table next to us wearing a purple shirt! SHE WAS HEALED IN JESUS NAME!
We also had the privilege of praying for her sweet daughter Mapalo. Mapalo was a precious nine year old girl who kept waving and smiling at me. I kept thinking how cute and innocent she was. When we asked the mother how we could pray for her little girl, she informed us that she had been taken advantage of by her brother. My heart absolutely broke and I couldn't stop crying thinking about this precious angel. I am so thankful we were able to pray with her and ask that all guilt and shame would flee in the name of Jesus! I know God is with her and I could see the joy and innocence restored in her.
