Come and share God's love.
Deep in the rainforests of western Panama, the Ngabe people quietly go about their lives in the land they have inhabited for centuries. They number over 185,000, spread across Panama and Costa Rica. They grow corn, rice, and peacefully shepherd their livestock in a beautiful, yet untamed part of the globe. Less than 2% of the Ngabe people know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
While the people live rather isolated lives, they do so at a cost. Over 91% are unemployed and survive off less than $2 US a day. Nearly 40% are illiterate, having less than 4 years of schooling behind them. A growing number of the people are migrating from their homeland to Costa Rica, seeking jobs on coffee farms.
This expedition is your chance to reach the Ngabe people with the Gospel. We will travel off-road into uncharted territories, camp in nearby schoolhouses, purify our own water, and prepare our own food on this trip. When we arrive, our team will provide free medical care to the people, leaving behind life-changing medications.
As we serve the people, we will experience new opportunities to share the Gospel with them. We will travel home-to-home and build relationships with others in the community, explaining the story of Jesus along the way. Those who receive Christ or request more information will be contacted by the local pastors and new churches will be established.
In just one week, you can provide free medical care, spread the Gospel, and establish new churches among the Ngabe people of Panama.
