Chiapas has been the location of one of our most powerful church-planting movements. Pastor Eufemio Bonifaz and his family have been church planters for 30 years in the jungles of Chiapas. Based out of Simojovel, they have over 30 mission churches that they support, encourage, and care for. Every trip to Chiapas is an adventure. The rugged mountains, walks/hikes to neighboring villages, and the diversity of terrain, climate, vegetation, and Mayan descent tribes are always incredible. These teams must stay small due to challenges in moving people around. Also requires pretty high stamina for hiking up some of the hills and mountains that are potential ministry sites.
