Share God's story and demonstrate His love to refugees in Germany.
In what The Financial Times has called "one of the most serious challenges now facing the [European Union]," over three million Syrians have now fled the civil war raging in their homeland. With refugee camps overflowing in the Middle East, many have fled by foot into Europe, traveling thousands of miles and risking their lives to make it.
As the greatest humanitarian crisis since World War II unfolds, Germany has become the epicenter. According to estimates, upwards of 600,000 refugees from around the world are being processed in 2015 alone. But through this tragedy, God is doing something amazing. As the world descends on Germany, new opportunities are arising to step up and serve. Unreached people groups are arriving in safe zones and spiritual doors are opening.
What We're Doing
This expedition is a unique opportunity to share God's story and demonstrate his love to German nationals, migrants, and refugees in Frankfurt. We will partner with Kirche in Aktion, translated "Church in Action," a vibrant Christian community establishing ministry centers across the metropolitan area. In pubs, coffee houses, refugee homes, youth centers, and senior living centers, Christ is lifted up, people's lives are transformed, and worship is taking place. God's Word is being explored in some of the most unlikely places.
Each day of the trip will include personal times of training and devotion, service projects in the communities, and outreach concerts, picnics, and relationship-building activities in parks.
This is your chance to do something about one of the greatest humanitarian crises of our generation by taking the Gospel to some of the least reached people in the world. This is the time to act.
