Our team traveling this summer will spend the majority of time in Arua, working with churches to share the Gospel in schools, prisons, the marketplace, and to hundreds of people through open-air festivals.
Hear The Cry and A Jesus Church has partnered with ARM's (Africa Renewal Ministries) in Uganda for years and through this partnership and relationship have been able to help plant Arua Community Church. As this church is growing and reaching out into small villages, they have just recently opened a new school called Sold Rock Christian School. We will spend a few days serving the children at the new school, helping with feeding programs, and just spending time playing with them and loving them well.
The trip will wrap up with a day or two in Kampala to see the work of Africa Renewal Ministries at Ggaba Community Church, Bethany Village, and Loving Hearts Baby Home where a few families from A Jesus Church have adopted from. Additionally, we will visit the Bukoto girls home, in partnership with Restore International, for girls who have been rescued from an abusive past and are now walking in freedom, taking time to sit and listen to their stories of transformation and great redemption.
Important Information about Hear The Cry Trips:
Trip cost includes airfare, food, lodging, insurance, ground transportation, supplies and excursions. Team members are responsible for any additional snacks and souvenirs during travel.
Interviews for each team will begin on the Application Deadline date for each trip.
Passports are required for all destinations, and must be valid for 6 months past the date of departure. Allow 4-6 weeks for any passport application and processing time.
India and Myanmar applicants must have a valid passport in hand at the time of the application deadline.
Upon acceptance to the team, a non-refundable deposit of $25 will be required as you set up your fundraising and online profile. The balance of the trip cost is due two weeks prior to departure.
