An Untamed Land
The city of Kajo Keji is located in the southernmost region of South Sudan, the world’s newest country. South Sudan gained its independence in 2011 following decades of costly civil wars. While the conflict came to an end with the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005, the region’s struggles continue.
Despite the new hope that comes with its independence, South Sudan remains an untamed part of the world. Waves of ethnic fighting and cattle raiding began taking place within months of the government’s inauguration, creating instability and uncertainty. Meanwhile, officials are still struggling to repair the South Sudan’s infrastructure.
What We’re Doing
Throughout the Kajo Keji region, there are many villages that lack any Christian presence. On this expedition, we will offer free medical care in communities throughout the area.
As we serve the people, it will provide new opportunities for us to share the Gospel with them. Those who receive Christ or request more information will be contacted by local pastors, planting the seeds for new churches.
In just one week, you can provide medical care to those without access, share the Gospel with dozens of people, and establish new churches that will outlive your time on this Earth.
