About this trip

What God Did: Last year the team worked alongside the strategist, “Elijah” and the missionary “Daniel” in the Koro region. There were 62 people saved and 22 baptized and one church started. The door is very wide open.

Overview: CBC met the Koro for the first time on a vision trip in the Northern Ivory Coast in 1998. The team was impressed with the friendliness and openness of the people to receive strangers whom they suspected to be Christian. The Koro are 99.9% Muslim and have been since about the 15th century. CBC had numerous contacts through 2002, until civil war broke out in the Ivory Coast. In 2007, a team traveled back into the country with the former missionaries, and they were welcomed. As a result, relationships were re-established with the Koro.

“Elijah” an Ivoirien Pastor with a PhD in Missions from Mid America Seminary joined our team and he has been invaluable in strategy and discipling the Koro. In May 2010, a wonderful work was done through our youth as they presented a type of Creation-to-the-Cross drama and a good many professed Christ. Pastor Koulibali was the sticking fruit in “Trumann”. He is our first Koro pastor and is reaching out to this prominent village. Now there are 2 Koro churches and 5 other ethnic groups that live among them.

On this project we will re-connect with recent converts, baptize, and evangelize villages in and around the Koro, Senufo, and Baiole people. We will spend a couple of nights in the village to disciple, and the rest of the time in the rented home we have at “Grand Central Station”.

Costs: $3,300. *Price includes lodging, meals on site, travel insurance, airfare, and transportation. Does not include visa, meals en route to and from the field of service, in airports, and to and from airports.

Application: Mission Application with a $350 non-refundable deposit. Applications available online centralbaptist.com.
