Blood:Water is an equipping agency that partners with African grassroots organizations to address the HIV/AIDS and water crises. We do this by identifying Africa’s hidden heroes and coming alongside their vision for change.
After being founded in 2004 by the multi-platinum GRAMMY® Award winning band, Jars of Clay, we reached a significant milestone in 2014: after 10 years, Blood:Water had raised over $24 million and reached more than 1 million people with clean water.
But, there is still work to be done. We are now venturing out toward our boldest goal yet—bringing drinkable water The Next Million, but this time, in just three years.
And here's the amazing news for the work ahead: just $20 allows us to install clean water access for one person.
Clean water access means more women and children will no longer have to walk for water. It means more kids can stay in school. It means fewer families will suffer from waterborne diseases. It means lives will be saved.
The goal of reaching 1 million people in three years is bold. It's audacious. And there's no place we'd rather be than dreaming BIG.
One gift of just $20 will be your way of standing with the people of Africa as we work toward The Next Million. You can shorten the walk.
When you help provide water access for The Next Million, you're not just a part of our story; you're a part of their story. With a donation of at least $20, we will send you this African made, leather bracelet that says The Next Million in Swahili—milioni ijayo.
