Dagbé's mission is to provide opportunities for children in difficulty in Benin, West Africa by enabling care providers to assist orphans, vulnerable children, and victims of abuse, extreme poverty, and child trafficking.
Dagbé is a 501c3, tax-exempt organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, dedicated to serving children displaced by extreme poverty and child trafficking in Benin, West Africa.
Dagbé was founded in 2011 and works closely with CAEES, a children's home in Ouèssè, Benin that provides food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and educational opportunities for orphans, vulnerable children, victims of extreme poverty, abuse, and child trafficking. CAEES is the only home of its kind in the entire central region of Benin.
In addition to its basic care services, Dagbé reunites trafficking victims with their families, provides scholarships for children, pays for vocational training for children who have left school, subsidizes birth certificates for children whose families cannot afford them, organizes anti-trafficking community training seminars, hosts children's summer camps, and more.
