I am SO excited to run again! This will be my third time running this relay and this time I get to support the Chanje Movement and the work they are doing in and with the people of Haiti. As much fun as this event is for me personally, I really want to honor the people, and my friends, in Haiti, by raising as much as I can to help support the Chanje Movement and their goal to bring clean water, build homes, provide education and launch Haitian owned businesses in their efforts to help make Haitians the Heroes.
I am looking for partners to join me in this cause. I'll do the running and I'll ask that you pray for and support the Chanje Movement through your donation to help provide even more opportunity to the people of Haiti.
So, What is it?
12 awesome studs pile into two vans and run “relay style” on a 200-ish mile overnight adventure. Sound’s awesome, right?! It IS!!
We’ll be divided up into two teams of 6, piled into two vehicles, and each given three legs of various lengths to complete over the duration of the relay. Each leg will be somewhere between 3 miles and 8 miles long. However, one lucky runner will have the honor of running a 12 mile stretch and earn themselves an extra medal!
Yeah, but WHY?!
Well, aside from just being an awesome adventure with great people, we are running to support the people of Haiti through the Chanje Movement. We are bringing a hope and a future to the children of Haiti through community transformation and revival.
In the last year through the Chanje Movement in Haiti, thousands had continuous access to clean water and received emergency meals, 500 leaders received training, 75 youth received regular primary and secondary school education, five homes were built, businesses were launched and many jobs created. We are helping Haitians be the Heroes, thanks to the generosity of donors and volunteers. We are eager to see the growth that continues to take place in 2019 and beyond.
Haiti, like much of the world, is in need of change. We believe that God can bring help and hope to the nations, and that He will do that through the hands and feet of people. Together, we are committed to raising movements of change in the cities, towns and villages of the world.
