Alazar's Army
Alazar lives in a small village 9 hours away from the capital city of Addis Ababa. He was in a horrific accident (a hyena attack 😭) that left him severely disfigured and blind. While there is no possibility of restoring his eyesight, he needs significant reconstructive surgery on his scalp and face.
I am hoping Alazar's Army can raise the $1,500 needed for his next surgery. I will personally match every dollar donated -- which if we can get to $1,500 will be a total of $3,000 that will go directly towards the care, rehabilitation and therapy he needs to get back home to doing awesome 4-year-old boy stuff!
My boys and I have prayed for Alazar every night since I returned from Ethiopia and I'd be so grateful if you'd join us in being this sweet little guy's "village from afar."
Here is a photo of me and Dr. Tesfaye who is the angel genius plastic surgeon who will be working with Alazar. It was one of the great honors of my life to see him perform a life-changing surgery for Ketora (the little girl who got a thumb!) and I am so excited to support him as he offers his gift of healing to little Alazar.
