Howdy!!

Since moving back to Dallas, the Lord has provided so much for me, of which the greatest blessing has been the community I’ve found through Watermark Community Church. I’ve had the opportunity to see God change lives by leading a Community Group here, serve the next generation of disciple makers by producing media for Watermark Kids, and transform the lives of young adults in Dallas by leading in a local ministry hosted at our church called The Porch.

God has opened the door for me to go on a short-term mission trip to reach the Arsi Oromo people group in Ethiopia with e3 Partners Ministry and Watermark Community Church this summer from July 15-24. We will partner with Ethiopian Christians as we reach out to the children, men, and women there. Ultimately, the purpose of the trip is to build relationships and share Christ with Ethiopians who have never heard the name of Jesus and help fulfill e3 Ethiopia’s vision of planting churches within the unreached peoples of the Arsi Oromo.

I’d like to invite you into this short-term ministry with me. The most effective thing you can do for me is to pray. Some specific topics that I’d like to ask you to partner with me in prayer over include preparation for this trip in fundraising and training, the effectiveness of my team, and that the people we encounter in Ethiopia would respond to the gospel. Continued prayer for the people we’ll meet, my team and me, as well as the Christians we will partner with is more powerful than any money you could donate.

I want to clarify that I’m no stranger to the fact that the Lord has blessed me enough that I could fund this trip on my own. However, I believe the Lord is faithful to provide for His work, and I want to extend an invitation to you to be a part of that fulfillment. My prayer is that this letter would be received like 2 Corinthians 8:3-5; that this might be seen as an opportunity extended to take joy in providing for the work that the Lord is doing.
