Hi! I'm Alexa, a second quarter nursing student at Loma Linda University. This is the first mission trip I am participating in and I am truly blessed and excited for the opportunity. My goal in life is to heal as many people as possible. I would like to be a public health nurse, focusing on whole person care, preventative medicine, and education in under-served communities. I aspire to be a voice, representation, and role model for those of Afro-Latino descent in health careers and social justice.  I want to take advantage of this experience and connect with different communities, understand, and meet their health care needs. 

Working closely with the SDA Cuban Union and the Cuba Red Cross, our multidisciplinary team will provide healthcare education and assessment to the local community to promote health and wholeness.
Activities include:
-Health education workshops
-Community-based health fairs in conjunction with local healthcare providers
-Family seminars
-Vacation Bible school activities
