This year has been a crazy one for me. After spending 7 months in Europe, I finally started school this past fall down here in Orlando, Florida along with my sister. I have been blessed in my time down here so far, connecting with an amazing church family, becoming secretary of Campus Crusade at my university, and now God is blessing me in another amazing way!
As many of you know, I have served on mission trips in the past with my local churches, travelling to New Orleans, Washington D.C., Denver, and even Guatemala. Recently, I’d felt God telling me that it was time for another mission trip, and that’s when I heard about this trip to Nepal! In August, I will have the incredible opportunity to minister in Southern Nepal with a church-planting group called e3 Partners Ministry. We will be working to spread God’s Word to the 99% of people in Nepal who have never heard the name of Jesus and establishing churches to keep the faith strong long after we leave. I am so excited (and also very nervous) for this incredible experience. I can’t wait to see how God uses this time to shape and grow my faith while doing amazing things for his kingdom, and I would love for you to be a part of it as well!
I am asking for your prayers as I prepare for this trip. I ask that you would pray for me to continue growing strong in my faith while also staying on top of my school studies.
If you feel compelled to do so, I also need financial partners for this trip. Any amount that could help my team and I My portion for the trip is $3,875, which covers my training and transportation in addition to Bibles, translators, and materials for my team and I.
Thank you all in advance for your love and support. I can’t wait to see what fantastic things God has in store!
Matthew 28:19-20 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
One word describes Nepal - extreme. While barely larger than the state of Arkansas, the country is home to the impressive Himalayas. Daunting mountain peaks and steep cliffs tower over the land.
This trip is reaching one of the 10 groups that was funded by Passion 2015. This trip is not an official Passion 2015 or Passion Conference led trip.
Nepal boasts a distinct and proud heritage as one of the few countries in Asia not to be ruled by a colonial power. It remained socially and politically isolated until 1951. Its monarchy, dating back to ancient times, didn’t end until 2008.
At one point, Nepal was the world’s only Hindu Kingdom. Today, it is a secular democracy but Hinduism still maintains a strong hold on the land. Of the 352 people groups who reside within Nepal’s borders, 343 of them are considered unreached. That amounts to over 28 million people who have never heard the Gospel!
This expedition will specifically target two unreached and unengaged people groups in Southern Nepal. This is your chance to share the Gospel with some of the 99% of Nepal’s population who have never heard the name of Jesus. As people receive Christ, we will establish new house churches in the region. Local pastors and leaders will continue cultivating relationships in the area and disciple these new followers of Jesus.
In just one week, we will venture into an untamed part of the world, share the Gospel, and fuel a Gospel movement that outlives our time on this Earth.
Let the adventure begin.
