I’ve known the name of Jesus my whole life—Catholic mass, bible study, church camps, and the sweet bedtime prayer. But it wasn’t until November 2023, when I was at my lowest and darkest point, that I truly met God. I lacked purpose and passion, but through the support of strong believers, I was introduced to Him. The Amanda who once craved the validation of a broken world was pulled from chaos and shown the peace and purpose that could only be found in the truth of a personal relationship with Him. Since then, my life has never been the same, and I am so grateful to be acutely aware of God's overwhelming goodness in my life today.

God has graciously opened the door for me to embark on a mission trip to Ethiopia this July with the purpose of assisting our Ethiopian ministry partners in sharing the Good News of God. Through this, we will build relationships and bring the gospel to Ethiopians who have yet to experience the fullness of a relationship with Jesus. As this is my first mission experience, I am humbled and grateful to play a small part in God’s greater plan, knowing the impact will reach far beyond what I can see.
