Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.
Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, we still focus on youth, and we also involve people aged 9 to 90. We currently have tens of thousands of staff (called “YWAMers”) and we work in thousands of teams and locations.
One of the joys of participating in YWAM is to work with people from many nations. YWAM’s staff come from nearly every country in the world, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Colombia.
LECTURE:
The first 3 months will be spent in Boston. Our ministry campus is located just three miles from downtown with breathtaking views of the skyline. During these first 3 months, you will glean from a different visiting teacher each week in the context of a community. Our teachers are required to have life experience in the topic they cover. Lecture content will be supplemented by times of group intercession, worship, small group, and evangelism. Each week there will be a time dedicated to your specific elective, where you will learn to use what you are passionate about to gain a deeper relationship with God and to reach the lost in a unique way.
OUTREACH:
After 3 months of transformation in Boston we will travel to another nation for 2 months. We will learn from them as we get hands-on opportunity to serve by their side and see what God is doing to reach their city. Your eyes will be opened to the vast potential of kingdom impact in the nations as you are exposed to a variety of different ministries. Additional potential ministry involvement includes evangelism, cafe ministry, fitness related ministry, teaching English and/or Art, ministering to children at risk, leading worship, church planting, etc.

We believe that Jesus desires wholistic transformation of our lives! He wants our whole heart, mind, strength, and life! Together, in a family-like community, you will encounter the truth of Jesus and be challenged to apply what you are learning producing accelerated personal growth and life transformation for the glory of God!
PARTNERSHIP:
We are partnering with a local CrossFit gym where we will be involved in a wide variety of exercises including running, biking, rowing, weightlifting, and body weight exercises. There will also be many opportunities and planned times for playing community focused sports of all kinds, including basketball, soccer, football and more. All of this will be done in a no judgment atmosphere full of encouragement and fun! WORSHIP ELECTIVE
Our vision is to raise up worshippers who know how to worship in the Spirit and Truth and take their song to the mission field.

PARTNERSHIP:
You will have the opportunity to impact your local community in Boston, bringing the fathers heart to them through worship and fellowship. We will be hosting weekly worship nights at our base in which we invite our local community to join in the song. You will have opportunities to minister to people, participate in what the Lord is doing through worship and see Him work in bringing his children closer to his heart. We want to see you use the song in your heart to call others into relationship with Him and show them that Jesus wants their life.
