Thank you so much for visiting fundraising page. This coming June I will be traveling to Thailand with a missions team from my church A Jesus Church/Solid Rock to work with the organization Remember Nhu. 

Remember Nhu is a nonprofit organization that works to end child sex slavery through prevention. The mission of this organization is to meet the needs of children in four specific areas; physical needs, educational needs, emotional needs, and spiritual needs. Meeting the basic physical needs of children by providing food, shelter, and medical care protects them from the sex trade. Education is another focus for Remember Nhu, when a child has the ability to obtain sustained work, the financial need is satisfied therefore lessening the financial allure to the sex trade. The atmosphere of love from responsible, caring adults can greatly impact the life of a child and meet their emotional needs, at Remember Nhu the children experience just that. Lastly the spiritual needs of children can be met through Remember Nhu. "Children deprived of any real, lasting hope are at risk. When introduced to the incomparable love of Jesus Christ, children are introduced to a new and accurate vision of themselves: that they are of deep, intrinsic, and eternal value. Remember Nhu and its partners, however, are equally committed to and will never discriminate against or withhold care from a child of a different religion, worldview, or persuasion." During our stay in Chiang Mai we will spend time with the girls helping with homework, playing games, and taking them to various attractions like an elephant camp or go swimming with them. There are plenty of projects on the grounds and the home to help with, along with encouraging the staff and bringing some of our long term missionaries a breath of home.  While they are at school, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the hill tribes to gain an understanding of what the children are subject to in this kind of slavery and how poverty in this area presents itself into heartbreaking results. The culture and religious influence in the country cannot be overlooked. This trip will bring insight and depth to how lives are structured here.
