Friends and family,
I am excited to have an opportunity to volunteer at a week long summer camp called Royal Family Kids. This is a camp specifically designed to serve children in foster care in San Diego County. I'm asking that you partner with me by contributing to this fundraiser - a $50 contribution per person is the goal, however a contribution in any amount, big or small, is truly appreciated.
This camp is incredibly special to me because it provides an opportunity for these kids to just be kids. These children have experienced abuse, abandonment and have been let down far too many times. This camp is a safe space where they will learn just how loved and special they are.
At any given time, there are
about 2,100 children in out-of-home care in San Diego. All children placed in foster
care have experienced neglect, abuse, and abandonment. Our fundraising will
allow my team to raise funds to offer a free week-long camp where foster
kids can have well deserved fun and give foster parents a week to take care of
themselves.
Here is how your giving can make a difference:
* $200 = One day of camp for one foster child
* $1,000 = One week of camp for one foster child
Your contribution can dramatically impact the health and well-being of one of San Diego’s most vulnerable populations. YOU can help us make a difference in the lives of children!
